This video is about Ganpati Festival in India. The documentary consists of a short clips all placed together with the voice-over of a woman talking throughout. There is background music in some parts that is faded when the voice-over is talking. At the beginning she talks about the history of the festival, as the video continues she explains how the festival starts and the things that are carried out prior to the start of the festival. She goes on to talk about the 'idols' and food that are prepared and how they are made, whilst this is going on the clips show the preparations and the workers getting everything ready for the Ganpati Festival. The way that this video is laid out has been thought about as it goes in stages - from the preparations to the actual festival and then the video finishes with the ending of the festival. This is something I would do in my video as I will be getting my interviewee to talk to me about a main point the history of their life and therefore when I was documenting it I could get them to speak about their life before this main event, then the main event and then how their life was after and if/how it changed. I could also try to recreate this event using film and getting my interviewee's voice to play over these clips as they discuss what was going on at this point in there life. I probably won't use any music during my video as the majority of it will be them speaking and I won't have any clips from their past that I could play with music overlapping unless I manage to discover some of their old films from that point in their lives. However if I do manage to find some then music is something I will consider.
